WTC Settlement Frequently Asked Questions

Miscellaneous

What type of proof will plaintiffs need to show in order to receive payment under this settlement process?

To recover under the settlement, each plaintiff will have to submit proof that he or she participated in the WTC rescue, recovery and debris removal project, as well as specific medical documentation and a physician’s diagnosis confirming their claimed illness or injury. All of this information must be submitted under oath and will be subject to an audit. The Allocation Neutral will oversee this process to determine each plaintiff’s illness or injury and each plaintiff’s resulting compensation under the settlement.
